the other way.

Every field-service platform makes you change how you work to suit the software. We build the opposite: one system shaped around how your business actually runs — financed at 0%, kept alive on a retainer, and yours outright at the end.

What you pay $39–$599/mo. Extra seats $29–$35 each. The plan you actually need is rarely the one advertised. $225–$325/mo base, $55–$65 per extra user, phone and AI answering $100–$200 on top. Realistic: $750–$1,500/mo. $245–$500 per technician, per month. $5K–$50K implementation. 12-month minimum. One build, $3K–$10K, financed at 0%. Then one flat retainer. No per-seat fees.
Who owns it They do. Stop paying, lose access. They do. They do — with early-termination fees. You do, from day one. Code and data.
Fits your workflow You adapt to their template. Good templates, but theirs. More configurable, still theirs. Deeply configurable — if you have someone to configure it. Built around it. Your quoting logic, your crews, your invoice rules.
Changes as you grow Feature requests into a queue. Same. Account manager, if you’re big enough to have one. The retainer is the change budget. A partner keeps building it.
AI on the phone Add-on, $99+/mo. Takes messages. Add-on, $200/mo. Takes messages. Phones Pro, $300–$800/mo. Wired in. Quotes and books; the job flows straight into your system.
Honestly good for One to three people who fit the template. Genuinely fine — stay. Five to fifteen techs who want more control and can absorb the add-ons. Twenty-plus techs with a marketing budget and a full-time admin. Three to twenty people paying $300+/mo and fighting their software.
Housecall Pro Essentials, 3 yrs
≈ $6.8K
$189/mo × 36, five users, before add-ons. Cheap — and if it fits you, keep it.
Workiz, kitted out, 3 yrs

Custom is right for you if
  • You’re paying $300+/mo and still fighting the software
  • There’s a thing your business does that no template will
  • You’re adding trucks and every seat costs you
  • You’d rather own it than rent it forever
Custom is wrong for you if
  • You’re one truck on a $39 plan and it works
  • You need it live next week
  • You want a vendor, not a partner

We’ll say so on the first call. That’s the offer.

The guarantee
If off-the-shelf fits you, we’ll tell you which one — and not sell you a build.

The diagnostic ends one of two ways: a scoped build with a fixed price, or a straight recommendation to buy something cheaper than us.

Competitor prices are published 2026 rates. Retainer is scoped with the build — hosting, maintenance and an ongoing change budget.

What we build into it

Whatever the whiteboard in your office currently does.

01
Jobs & dispatch

Scheduling, crew assignment, route order, photos from site, completion from a phone with one hand free.

02
Quoting & invoicing

Your price book, your quote template, deposits, and invoicing that fires the moment a job is marked complete.

03
Customers & pipeline

Every lead, quote and repeat customer in one place, with the follow-up chasing itself instead of living in your head.

04
Reporting

What each crew, service line and channel actually earns. The numbers most owners only find out at tax time.

05
Integrations

The AI Sales Agent, your calendar, Stripe, accounting, and whatever you already refuse to give up.

06
Then it keeps changing

The retainer is the point. Your business in month eighteen isn’t your business today — most builds go stale because nobody’s left to change them. We’re left.

The offer

Scoped on complexity. Financed at 0%. Yours at the end.

If off-the-shelf fits you, we name it and don’t sell you a build

The diagnostic ends one of two ways: a scoped build with a fixed price, or a straight recommendation to buy something cheaper than us. We don’t take builds we can’t make better than the shelf.

The retainer
$399 a month. The agent’s in it.

Hosting, maintenance, monthly updates, change requests, improvements we make unprompted, and someone to call when anything breaks. $199 a month if you don’t want the AI Sales Agent.

Fair questions

What operators ask before they say yes.

I already use Jobber or Housecall Pro. Why would I switch?

You might not need to — if it fits and the seat bill doesn’t sting, stay. The two walls people hit: paying for ten seats and using six, or a thing their business does that no template will. A custom build fixes both, and you own it.

What if you disappear?

You own the code and the data — that’s the whole point of building instead of renting. Any developer can pick it up. But three partners with their names on the site aren’t going anywhere.

What does the retainer actually cover?

$399 a month with the AI Sales Agent included, $199 without. Hosting, maintenance, monthly updates, the changes you ask for, improvements we make on our own, and a partner to call when anything breaks.

How is this financed?

In-house, at 0%. Ten percent down, the balance over three or six months, no banks and no credit check. A $5K build is $500 down and $750 a month for six months.

The long version

Why custom software beats renting a template once you’re past three trucks

Every field-service platform on the market is a template. A good one, usually, but a template: someone else decided how a job moves from lead to invoice, and you bend your business to fit. That works right up until the day it doesn’t, and the day it doesn’t usually looks like one of two things. Either you are paying for ten seats and using six, or there is a thing your business does that no drop-down menu will ever do. Custom software is the answer to both.

What “custom” means here

Custom software, the way we build it, means we sit with you and map how work actually moves through your company: how a call becomes a quote, how a quote becomes a job, who gets dispatched, what the crew needs on their phone, and what has to happen for you to get paid. Then we build exactly that, and nothing you will never use. Custom software built this way is smaller, faster and easier to learn than a platform with four hundred settings, because it only has your settings.

What you own

The code and the data, from day one. If you stop paying the retainer, the software still runs; you just stop getting updates. Any developer can pick up custom software built on standard tools. This is the opposite of the rental model, where stopping payment means losing access to your own customer list. We built our own company on this principle; the custom software Callout runs on is a system we built instead of renting someone else’s, and it is the reason the demo works on your business rather than on a slide deck.

Where the custom software retainer fits

Custom software goes stale when nobody is left to change it. That is why the retainer exists. For $399 a month with the AI Sales Agent included, or $199 without, we host it, maintain it, ship monthly updates, take your change requests, make improvements without being asked, and answer the phone when anything breaks. Your business in month eighteen is not your business today, and the retainer is the change budget that keeps the custom software matching it.

How the money works

Custom software builds are scoped on complexity, not hours: Focused at $3,000, Operational at $5,000 to $7,000, and a Full system at $10,000. Every tier is financed in-house at 0% with ten percent down and the balance over three or six months, no bank and no credit check. A $5,000 build is $500 down and $750 a month for six months, and by the time it is paid off most owners have already cancelled a per-seat subscription that was costing them the same amount forever.

Custom software versus the shelf, honestly

If you are one truck on a $39 Jobber or Housecall Pro plan and it fits, keep it; custom software would be the wrong spend and we will say so on the first call. The people it is right for are running three to twenty people, paying $300 or more a month, and fighting their tools every day. For them, custom software costs less over three years than a mid-market platform, and at the end of it they own something instead of a receipt.

What a custom software build looks like

  • Week 0. The free diagnostic and a scoping session. You get a fixed price and a timeline in writing.
  • Weeks 1–2. We build the core custom software workflow first and put it in your hands early, on real jobs, so the feedback is real.
  • Weeks 3–8. Crews, quoting, invoicing, reporting and the AI Sales Agent are wired in one piece at a time.
  • Launch. Your data is migrated into the custom software, your team is trained on their phones, and the retainer starts.
  • Every month after. Updates, your change requests, and the improvements we make unprompted, so the custom software keeps matching the business.
